How many games fit
Each game takes about 3.3 MB on the console’s drive:
- 0.14 MB for its launcher, the folder in
Hdd1:\NetISOthat Aurora shows as the game. All the games share one 2.9 MB helper inHdd1:\NetISO\NetDisc360, which shows the loading screen and starts the disc. - About 3.1 MB for its art, which Aurora downloads for any game in its list: screenshots (1.3 MB), background (1 MB), cover (0.66 MB) and banner (measured on a console with 39 games).
The game itself stays on your PC or NAS. A game’s install content (GTA V’s install disc puts 8.3 GB on the drive), title updates and DLC take space as they would with the disc. The table keeps 1 GB free for Aurora, your saves and updates.
| Console drive | Free for you | Games that fit |
|---|---|---|
| 20 GB | about 13 GB | about 3,700 |
| 60 GB | about 51 GB | about 15,500 |
| 120 GB | about 106 GB | about 32,500 |
| 250 GB and up | about 227 GB and up | more than you’ll ever need |
The console’s own system keeps part of every drive, which is why a 20 GB drive has about 13 GB free. The 60 GB figure is measured; the others are worked out the same way.
