Example files
Every file the install guide uses, with where it goes. Download a file, change the values the notes name, and copy it to the console or the server.
Where the files go
Section titled “Where the files go”With all three projects installed, the console’s USB drive (the one DashLaunch reads launch.ini from) holds:
DirectoryUsb:\
- launch.ini DashLaunch’s settings, see launch.ini
- NetUsb360.xex from part 1, only with a USB network adapter
- NetISO.xex from ConsoleMods’ NetISO kit
- NetISO.xex.txt the server’s address, see NetISO.xex.txt
- NetIsoTiles.xex
- NetIsoTiles.ini optional, see NetIsoTiles.ini
FastFTP360 is an app in its own folder on the hard drive, for example:
DirectoryHdd1:\
DirectoryApps
DirectoryFastFTP360
- FastFTP360.xex
- FastFTP360.ini optional, see FastFTP360.ini
launch.ini
Section titled “launch.ini”DashLaunch’s launch.ini holds its other settings too, so don’t replace it: open it and set these lines, and leave the rest of the file as it is. Default is where your Aurora is; it makes the console boot straight into it. DashLaunch loads at most 5 plugins.
[Paths]Default = Hdd:\Apps\Aurora\Aurora.xex
[Plugins]plugin1 = Usb:\NetUsb360.xexplugin2 = Usb:\NetISO.xexplugin3 = Usb:\NetIsoTiles.xexNetUsb360 is plugin1, so it loads first. FastFTP360 isn’t in launch.ini: it’s an app you start from Aurora.
[Paths]Default = Hdd:\Apps\Aurora\Aurora.xex
[Plugins]plugin1 = Usb:\NetISO.xexplugin2 = Usb:\NetIsoTiles.xexWithout a USB network adapter, leave out the NetUsb360.xex line and number the others from plugin1.
[Paths]Default = Hdd:\Apps\Aurora\Aurora.xex
[Plugins]plugin1 = Usb:\NetUsb360.xexplugin2 = Usb:\NetISO.xexplugin3 = Usb:\NetIsoTiles.xexplugin4 = Hdd:\Plugins\xbdm.xexOther plugins you load, such as xbdm.xex, go after NetUsb360 and NetDisc360’s plugins. Use the path where your plugin is.
If you put NetUsb360.xex somewhere else, such as Hdd:\Plugins\, use that path. With RGLoader instead of DashLaunch, make NetUsb360 the first plugin entry in rgloader.ini.
NetISO.xex.txt
Section titled “NetISO.xex.txt”Tells the NetISO plugin where the NetDisc360 server is: one line with the IP address of the PC or NAS that runs it. The server’s dashboard shows this address. Put your server’s address in place of 192.168.1.20.
Goes: on the root of the USB drive, next to NetISO.xex. Used in: 2. Install NetDisc360.
192.168.1.20NetIsoTiles.ini
Section titled “NetIsoTiles.ini”Optional. Has NetISO ask for 256 KB at a time and gives its connection a 64 KB receive buffer, so games load faster: about 26 MB/s with a TP-Link UE306 adapter and NetUsb360, where NetISO on its own manages about 7 MB/s. Reboot the console after adding it.
Goes: on the root of the USB drive, next to the plugins (or on the root of Hdd1:; the USB drive’s is used if both are there). Used in: Load games faster.
read_kb=256rcv_kb=64FastFTP360.ini
Section titled “FastFTP360.ini”Optional. FastFTP360’s login. This one has the default, xboxftp / xboxftp: change user and password to your own, or set login=off so any user name and password work. Missing or invalid lines keep the defaults. You can also set the login on the Xbox with Y on the FTP server tab, which saves this file for you.
Goes: next to FastFTP360.xex. Used in: 3. Install FastFTP360.
login=onuser=xboxftppassword=xboxftpdocker-compose.yml
Section titled “docker-compose.yml”Runs the NetDisc360 server in Docker on Linux or a NAS. Put the folder with your games in place of ./games, and a password for the dashboard in NETDISC_WEB_PASSWORD. The comments in the file explain the rest. It is the same file as in the NetDisc360 repository.
Goes: in a folder of its own on the machine that runs Docker; start it there with docker compose up -d. Used in: On your PC or NAS.
